Initiative. It’s an often-used word that captures a task, but also a special characteristic linked to leadership.

Initiative defines much of Victoria Grant’s career and her personality.

Victoria Grant is Teme-Augama Anishnabai, loon clan and a registered member of the Temagami First Nation.  While her career has covered 30 years of experience in administration, health care, entrepreneurship and managerial services, she has remained committed to advancing and improving Aboriginal issues and relations.

Victoria’s past experience included coordination of the Noojimawin Health Authority, Manager and Assistant Negotiator of the N’Dakimenan Land Claim Negotiations, project coordinator for Career Edge at the Scotiabank, and Interim Band Manager of Temagami First Nation.

Victoria has served on numerous boards including Vice–Chair of Ontario Health Quality Council, and currently as a Director for Community Foundations of Canada. Most recently she has been appointed to the Assumption Heritage Trust Board raising funds and awareness for Canada’s second oldest Catholic Church, in Windsor Ontario.

As President of Moving Red Canoe, Victoria is working with mining and power companies as well as Bands on facilitation and mediation projects.
